improve pick up !

hey guys i driving a 1.5r 4dr ! wanna know what kind of stuff i can do to make my rides pick up faster without voiding my warranty !

Drop-in filter, throttle control but got to do it both from MI. But very minimum improvements...

Tunning is the best way to improve performance but being 1.5 NA, don't expect much improvements and there are pretty nothing much else you could do to boost your car. Please do note that tunning is best done last after all other mods. Warranty will be void!!!

If you dare to venture to the "dark side", you could change engine and TC it.
But i wouldn't recommend you to do it cause when the law caught up with you, you'll regret it.. lol!

But after all the money spent, it's rather not worth it.

icic ! then i just make my interior look nicer then caused even my friend's dad say not worth it cause the car pick up suks to begin with ><

True... but do take note that while puttin up deco in your car, you might add more weight thus causing your car pick to suffer even more!!! :D

Besides my earlier post, what you can do to help your pick up (again very minimum but it helps! :p) is try to make your car as light as possible. E.g. changing lighter rims, removing spare tire and unecessary stuffs. :p

oh i think i chg to leather seats + chg my 6 cd thing to a integrated gps + music player ! don't know the cost though !

its not haha cause i ask a few of my friends and the people at the work shop they say pointless haha cause if want tune will void warranty....so yea i prob make my car more comfortable !

I heard from my SE is first year bummer to bummer, second and third is engine and gearbox, fourth and fifth is engine.

I think subaru's stuff also not cheap so first year LL. cannot change ANYTHING. Just got your car ??

It's not entirely hopeless lah:)
I'm a fellow 1.5R,hougang area.
IMHO,tuning is most worthwhile investment for our car.I had done that myself.The overall driveablility is there.You will like your ride more.
BTW,do visit sg3gwrx forum for more correspondences in MY08,09 model info.
I learnt quite a fair bit about our car.:icon17:
