Hi, i just bought a Subaru Impreza sedan 2009... Out of curiousity, is it true that when you switch on the rear fog lights, only the right side will light up and not both? As what my agent told me, only the right rear fog light will light up and not both... Maybe those who owns an Impreza sedan 2009 can help?

Hi bro,
So thats about 7.14Km per litre?
Michael

Yeah...Sometimes more but because most of the time I'm stuck in jams be it E way or city... And oh... I'm with the throttle controller with EC3. However, I do get my best at 11.4 per 100km.
You driving the Sedan model too?

Hi,
Yup i am driving the sedan too. I dunno why your fc is so bad, my worst is 9km per litre and best was 11.
I am using the throttle controller, a drop in broquet, a fuel line boostmaster broquet and am on 17 inch light weight alloy rims.
u on stock rims?
Michael
19th April 2010, 08:56 PM
Nope...I'm on 17 as well. 2.0 engine fitted with K&N drop in but no broquet. Guess its the broquet that helps in this case.

So far after some different qoutations. range are from $880 - $1100. Unichip with tunning. Howevr, some with dyno and some with road tuned. BHP increase from 15 to 22. But I think I'll go for unequeal extractor first before tunning. So as to boost up my initial.

MI damm stingy one lah... You know what? During my first 1500k servicing, they saw my rims were not original and they warned me that they can void my warranty. In fact my lower front V-lip was cracked not because I hit any ground. Also not sure why it happened??? When I went back to MI to lodge a claim since it was stated in my contract that body kits are covered for 1 yr from front to back, I was declined. The reason? My head light were changed to the white lights from elsewhere and MI claimed that it was the other mechanics broke them. They totally hands off. MI will push whatever they can if your ride is not original. If you want to change something, better be from MI. If you get Hurricane filter from elsewhere and is not recorded under MI records, its not covered.
So in the end??? I F*** everything and change to whatever I want. By the way, even if you miss any servicing, they will also void. All my frds whos driving scoobies also don't give a damm about warranty. Unless you want to drive stock all the way or service with them throughout.
Brakes failinig maybe after tunning, your car becomes more powerful and the brakes might not be able to hold lor. That s the only thing I can think of.

Bro I am also trying to boost some power to my ride and I'm learning from "The Dream" as well. I feel he's rather well versed with scoobies rides. He can explain many machanical stuffs with illustrations and he's paitient.
If you intend to void your warranty with MI and decides to mod your car, I can recommend a few workshops who are well known for doing scoobies rides. BMS, BKS or Dynotechnica. Then again, I have not done anything with them but had paid visits to these placess and yes, many scoobies were there.

Bro, do you know where i can change my stock brakes to wrx brakes or brembos? How much is the cost?
Michael

So far I've not change but do have the intention too. I was told that Brembos(front and back 4 by 2) should cost between $5500-$6000. Stil have not source any cheaper than that yet. However, if you don't mind, there are 2nd hand set in BMS. Likewise the STi set. In fact, if you don't have intention to boost your car to the max, a change of brake rotors preferably slotted, brakes hose and good set of brake pads should do fine.

Thanks. I am not familiar with this. I wanted to get better brakes with also a caliper cover for the aesthetic look. Do you have a shop which is reliable and i can talk to?

To be honest bro, I'm not very good with workshops terms either. However, you can try McWell or Modern. You can have a look at the products and ask about the item. But just to let you know, the cost of the labour for the installation is 3 times higher than the product item which eventually spells not worth. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks. You have their contacts?
And can you educate me on brakes? I am not familiar with rotors, how many slots, what to change or what makes the entire breaking system.

I'm sorry I don't have any contacts. However, I do know that way there. Its arund Ubi for Mcwell and Ang Mo Kio for BMS. Slots are slits that comes with the brake rotors.

As for what makes the whole braking system, ermm... Brake calipers, pads, hose and rotors. As for deeper into technical stuffs, perhaps you can try to get hold of "The Dream" to answer you further.

Hi bro.
yes bro its true.
for euro specs, there is only 1 rear fog lamp (Red Cover, driver's side). The other is the reverse light (White Cover, passenger's side).
Pretty useful when turning on the rear fog light during heavy rain conditions.
JDM specs both sides white and if i'm not wrong it'll both light up only when engaging reverse gear.
Btw fyi... previous models eg. TS or MY07 imprezas are all the same. 1 fog lamp and 1 reverse light.
Cheers!
PS. Just realised i'm alittle late in answering the question. LOL!
