dear Subaru Brothers and Sisters,
Pls kindly help. Just took delivery of a new subaru forester 2.5xt, and discovered to my horror that each time i started the engine and tried to move off (from standstill, after blue engine oil warning light went off), there is always a scratching sound that comes from the engine/foot accelerator.
The subaru technical advisors said its ok, and the scratching sound is due to the engine oil not yet heated properly. And they said thsi scratching sound appears also in all their subaru range of models from sedans (incldg legacy) to station wagons (exiga) to suv (foresters).
I find this strange, as the scratching sound appears like something in the engine is being damaged each time it happens.
Do our Subaru Brothers and Sisters also encounter this scratching sound each time you start the car and move off? If not, pls advise what could have possibly caused this, and where I can get this analysed and fixed up? many thanks for reading this, and for your comments.
