I went to autobacs one over month ago to get my front and rear rotors changed to dixcel rotors on a weekday morning. When i went back to collect it at noon and was about to drive off, i tested the handbrake and realised it was very very loose (can lift up and down with your tiny finger even). I asked the mechanic if the car was ready to drive off and he said it was. I later told him there is no reason why the handbrake should be so loose and i demanded that he had it adjusted. I waited an hour at the waiting area for the mechanics to fix the problem and got fed up waiting. When I went down to check out what the problem was, i noticed my old rear rotors and the new rear rotors placed side by side. I realised what the problem was when i noticed that the space in the new rotors were much larger than my original rotors causing the handbrake not to bite. After I probed further, they told me that the rear rotors did not fit and if i needed a fitting rotor, i had to wait for the stock to arrive a week or two later. I was thinking WTF!!! When I asked the mechanic earlier whether the car was ok and whether i could drive off, he said it was ok, so it seems that the mechanic already knew the problem and chose to keep quiet hoping that i would drive off without noticing it? How could a mechanic that fitted my rotor not know that the rotors were not suitable and the handbrake doesnt bite the rear rotors? What happens if i drove off the car and parked along a slope with the car sliding down and crashing into a pedastrian becoz the handbrake doesnt bite? I had no choice but to stick with the newly changed front rotors and told them to change back to my old rear rotors. I could have just Fk'ed the mechanic for trying to deceive me but i chose to swallow my anger and drive off, swearing not to return to autobacs again. What they have done is purely unethical and could have caused danger to the driver and others.

To the bros here, you should know what my advice is if you ever think of going to autobacs bukit batok for any servicing job.

my guess is they knew the rotors did not fit unless they fabricated sleeves inside but were trying their luck to see if i will just drive off without noticing the loose handbrake (which is a stupid thing coz any driver when lifting the handbrake would know something is not right). They were trying their luck coz they probably wanted to make a quick buck from me even though there was no ready stock for the rear dixcel rotors that fit my car. When i made noise, they were probably thinking how they could cover up for their lies, costing me another 1 hour of wait. They did not even have the decency to tell me my original rotor size and the new ones they fitted were different inside at the first instance before they fitted the rotors to my car, really knn to them. I can bet my last cent that if i leave that day and return another day, they will tell me the rotors already used and ask if i wanted to fabricate handbrake sleeves for the rotors at another few hundred bucks. This kind of fk'ed up workshop pay me money to bring my car back i also don't want.

anyway, beware of that short, small-eyed guy with receding hairline (think he is called choon). he is the one always walking around, calling and taking orders from suppliers. He was the one that ordered my rotors that day.
